Lip Enhancement

Lip enhancements make use of an injectable filler that serves to plump thin lips. This filler can be a patient’s own fat or a commercial hyaluronic acid such as Juvederm, is injected into multiple sites on the lips. The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia, and therefore can be done at the office. Although your lips might take on a slightly over-filled or swollen appearance immediately after the procedure, this gradually subsides in about a few days, or at most a few weeks, if fat is used. Complete recovery will take up to two weeks. The results can last anywhere from 1 year to several years depending on the type of filler used.
