Paranasal Implants

Sometimes, the area where the nostril meets the face, paranasal area, is very deep giving an appearance of age. Paranasal augmentation using implants can supplant this area resulting in a more youthful appearance. The procedure involves placing graft material on either side of this paranasal area to soften its depth. If the depth of the paranasal area which extends to nasolabial folds are mild and not very deep, it can be treated with fillers such as fat or Juvederm (hyaluronic acid). After the paranasal implant procedure, the face will be swollen for several days. Complete recovery will take several weeks.
